Why do I find this so tempting?

Unfortunately I really don’t have room for a fourth car. Well, my wife would probably be thankful we don’t.

I really like the color too.

They weren’t amazing, but early 90's Chrysler products weren’t as bad as a lot of folks made them out to be. I still miss our old 1993 Dodge Caravan and we haven’t owed it since like...2001...

My grandpa had one in brown when I was a kid . That bodystyle, but earlier, maybe an 89 or 90? It maybe wasn’t pretty, but it was pretty damn comfortable.

I do know a lawyer whose name starts with an S. It’s Sarah, but I think that’s close enough.

I also know a bald chemist. So maybe?

My grandparents had an 87, I believe,  Diplomat that I drove them around in when I had my learners permit. It had the super comfortable red velour interior.

In this case K is for Komfort.

Actually semi-decent for the time given the underpinnings.

Nope... not the same car. Mikes car was a RWD Chrysler M-body.

The car above is a FWD New Yorker/Imperial

It's so tempting because a) it's gone from unattractive junk to rare and retro, b) because it's not grey/silver or a variation thereof and c) because the seats are more comfortable than anything sold today for less than the price of a small house..

Because you never drove one?

Our neighbour had a Dynasty with a similar interior...I forget the interior color, but it was that deep teal color on the outside that you often saw them in!

What’s not to find tempting?

Amazingly comfortable interior, smooth ride, decent power, respectable fuel economy, cheap to keep on the road.

Honestly if this was closer to me I’d probably snag it up, other than that rear door it looks to be in great shape.

A car like this is a big part of why I want to add a concrete pad beside my garage to gain a parking space. I already street park my truck, and there’s not enough room to add another car behind it.

My first choice would be the earlier RWD Diplomat/New Yorker, but I still like this style too.
